Envy are often displayed through narcissism usually by being boastful about (non-worthy) accomplishments, name dropping (associating themselves with people who they hold in high esteem) and belittle/undermine people to appear better in comparison; this can be resolved by developing your own principles and live life to your own standards. This is where you will find happiness even in the simple things you do and elevate yourself from the judgement of others.
Envy is the epitome of lack of power.
Those of real power do not possess this trait//character; the need to brag or belittle another. Power is seen through deeds, not speech. Non progressive talk is a common trait of the envious, the non-powered. These talks lead to no progression and very little knowledge is imparted.
